AFTER 30 ,,, and more
I had a much-needed quiet weekend, so thought I'd give you two freebies today. Maybe I can keep up that trend all week? Check back and see!
In the meantime, I hope you've had time to consider adding the PROMISES set of word art to your collection. It's perfect for weddings, anniversaries, engagements, love stories and life stories. Please do consider it, for a simple donation of $2, it's yours.

Brand New Set
Here's my newest set of word art for you to consider (for a donation of $2.00US, please). In this PROMISES set, there are 15 pieces, 300ppi. In addition, almost all have a reversed version as well. For instance, if you see the text in black below, there's also a white-text version in the set I'll send you -- and vice versa.
Thanks for all the very kind comments you leave me. I appreciate them immensely!!!
All the best,
Melanie

Marchopolis
Here's my contribution for the March Color Challenge at Digi-Scrap Obsession. I know it may be a bit corny, combining "March" with "Metropolis" but I thought the color palette Kim selected worked well for a cityscape.

Amnesia Vu
I've reached another new phase in my life and it's driving me crazy. That phase when you start forgetting things ... well, that's inevitable. The past couple of years, since being diagnosed with diabetes, I've noticed a significant increase in the number of instances where I use the wrong word, and it's nonsensical. Like, "please hand me that sofa," instead of "please hand me my cola." Or "do you know where the birdhouses are?" instead of "do you know where the car keys are?"
So, now, this new phase is where I'm forgetting how to PRONOUNCE words. The debate in my head as I try to remember how to pronounce a word would be comical if it wasn't so frustrating!! The other day, I got bogged down with trying to remember whether or not to pronounce the "h" in "herbs." Aaaaaargghhhh!!!
Hope you have a pleasingly memorable Monday!

Weekends
Hope your weekend has had a terrific start and that you enjoy it. It's very windy here in my part of Texas, but the temperatures are nice. Flowering trees are beginning to display their finery, which is always a treat for the eyes. I'll probably spend part of the weekend on a photo safari to capture new images for my stockpile.
I had a request for this next image, so if you can use it in addition to LEE, help yourself. I had planned a series of WA using it but can revamp it for those purposes later.

bubblebaths
I have to admit that I've indulged in quite a few bubblebaths the past few days to help me de-stress since I joined the ranks of the unemployed. The aromatic scent of my favorite bubblebath gel, along with a cup of hot tea, lifts my spirits. It also makes my hand feel better to soak in the warmth.
Do it for yourself, if you haven't taken the time for one in awhile.
Blessings on your day,
Melanie

Cherish friends
Today is the first day of a new workweek. For the first time in 27 years, I'm not going to be making the drive downtown to my job. I had to turn in my resignation on Thursday because I could not make the commitment to the new schedule they wanted to impose on me.
But somehow, I feel free, as scary as it is to be unemployed. The black cloud that was hovering over me is dissipating. My husband and I have been discussing alternatives, and although there are no quick fixes, it feels positive. My prayers continue for the future.
Hope you can use today's his/her word art:
