I know my nieces and nephews must feel as if they have their own personal paparrazi stalker fan following them around when we're having family gatherings, because I have the camera whirring the entire time. ...you still find yourself saying this, over and over. I SOOOOO didn't want to sound like my mom when we had our little 3-year-old visitor last week, but eventually, you run out of answers for why they should or should not do something, and it just slips out against your will. :)

Since I first heard of the sudden loss recently experienced by Jenni (Chaos Lounge) and Bonnie (Bonnie's Blog) when their brother died so unexpectedly, they have been on my mind and heart. In addition to remembering them in my prayers, I also prayed for my own siblings -- one cannot help but personalize those moments as they apply to your own life. Then, as I came across this quotation yesterday, it fit so perfectly with the cherished moments I've experienced with my own brothers, whom I love dearly.

Jenni and Bonnie, I'm thinking about you today, and wish you continued healing.

To my own brothers, I'm sending big hugs your way!

For the past few weeks, I celebrate each weekday morning ... relishing the fact that I don't have to report for duty at the "salt mines." Yes, it's much harder on us financially for me to be unemployed, but you can't put a price on the true value of taking time for yourself.

I'm relishing it ... and luxuriating in it ... and thank my husband every day for allowing me this precious time to just be ME!

Battle times two

We came back home from Easter weekend at Mom's with an extra passenger in our car: a 3-year-old rowdy boy (my youngest great-nephew). We're going to have him all week. It's a real test of my progress on my wrist, but he's an irresistible cutie.

He's taking a nap right now ... but the process of getting there (finally) inspired today's word art pieces. Hope you can find a use for them, too!!!
