Priceless Investments

For someone who was not blessed with children of my own -- not even through adoption -- I seem to have a lot to say about them. That's because I adore children and it's tough not to say something when I observe a parent not understanding, for example, that not listening to their child, they miss a world of opportunity to help the child grow into a responsible adult. I could get on my soapbox ... but I won't! Besides, I think that this would be like preaching to the choir, so to speak, because I think that scrappers in general are probably the best kind of parents.

Have a blessed Sunday,
Melanie

Good Morning!
I just found you from Monique's blog. I LOVE your wordart!! SO so so true too, I know I am a much better 'listener' as a grami than I was as a Mom. Not that I didn't listen, just that I 'listen closer' now. :) Charles Swindoll is a great teacher. Thank you for the wordart.

Thanks so much for your word art this week and your support of Susan and the other designers that have to deal with people that are so ungrateful for the wonderful gifts they have been given. It amazes me every time I look at the numbers to see the number of people that can't take time to write a simple thank you when they download something.

As a momma of 3 (2 boys ages almost 13 and 9 1/2, and a girl age 3 1/2), sometimes it IS hard to remember how important it is to simply listen (and sometimes to listen to what ISN'T being said, kwim?) because we get so caught up in the day to day ...supper has to be made, homework done and checked, church services to be gotten to, baths to be gotten, jammies on, stories read, fights defused, ....you get the idea :)
Thank you so much for this word art AND the reminder to just stop and enjoy the fact that for a while, I am their world :)
